Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1. (Start)

Arusha – Manyara National Park.

From the city will drive 126km(78m) 2 – 3hrs towards the southwest of Arusha.

Lake Manyara NP is a small park at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. Its groundwater forest offers a nice change of scenery from the more savannah-dominated parks. Although the park is known for tree-climbing lions, big cats aren’t that easily seen. Elephant are prolific and are the main attraction.

 

Day 2. Manyara to Lake Natron

Almost a 6 to 7 hours drive throughout the Wildlife Management Area which covers a large part of the government protected Area to the lake, giving you best time explore beautiful sceneries and hills small number of herbivores feeding along the Rift valley will take you to the northern Tanzania on the Kenya border, Close to the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arriving in the noon will drive direct to the camp for recreation and the night.

 

Day 3. Lake Natron.

The lake is in the vicinity of Ol Doinyo Lengai, which is visible on the southern part. Lake Natroncovers an area 56 km (35 miles) long and 24 km (15 miles) wide but the water level changes due to evaporation.

The lake is a breeding place for thousands of Rift Valley Flamingos.

They build their nests using the soda flats between August and October. The flamingos of lake Natron feed with the lakes Spirulina algae. Because the flamingos use this area for breeding the lake and its surrounding is under the International concern for preservation. Other animals which inhabit this area are zebra, ostrich, fringed eared oryx, gazelle, gerenuk, lesser kudu and golden jackal.

 

Day 4. Lake Natron to Serengeti NP.

Same as day day long drive from the beautiful highlands on northern to the Serengeti will give an adequate experience to explore the wonderful richness of the northern adventure approaching Serengeti you will have a chance for game viewing on the noon towards the camp for the night.

 

Day (5 – 7) Serengeti National Park.

Popular and very wide wild destination park, giving you adequate time to explore various parts uniqueness of the Serengeti and each day of the 3 days in the (endless plains) is extremely exciting.

The Serengeti is one of the most famous parks in Africa and is synonymous with wildlife and classic African scenery. It is Tanzania’s oldest park and a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is home to the spectacular wildebeest migration and offers top-class wildlife viewing throughout the year.

 

Day 8. Ngorongoro crater

A visit to the Ngorongoro Crater is an experience of a lifetime. There are few places that have wildlife densities and variety on this level. It is not unusual to see the Big Five in one day – and all this in the most amazing setting with a backdrop of the 600m/1,968ft-high crater wall.

 

Day 9. Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire, one of the more seasonal parks in northern Tanzania, with a lot of migratory movement within the greater Tarangire ecosystem. In the Dry season, between June and October, large herds of animals are attracted to the Tarangire River. At this time, the elephant numbers are spectacular and the park should be part of any safari in northern Tanzania.

Day 10. Arusha.

You will have a chance for early morning game drive then drive back to Arusha or Airport regarding your schedule on the due day.
